It's the best. Hard to explain if you've never been there did you stay at the state park?

I think there are at least 3 Silver Lakes in Michigan.. I assume you were on the one over by Lake Michigan. I have been to two of them myself (That one included).

Three Silver Lakes? No, there are more like thirty and I know of six that have nearby campgrounds either actually called by the name or calloquially referred to as...
Then there are the Dear, Mud, Trout, Clear lakes that make up another hundred. Land that flat, the water doesn't run off so there are lots of lakes.

We are planning to get back to the dunes, just not sure when.

Well, 30 is at least 3.

I know of the one I think the O/P went to on Lake Michigan.
One closer to Ann Arbor (Been there)

and one just north of Ohio near I-75 (never stopped there, driven past a few times)

and I'm sure there are others. So I'm not going to argue with your estimate..

There are many "Same name" lakes. But only one Tahquamenon river!!!!

The UP is a thing to behold....

I would go up there more, but I have a coach with tandem instead of dual rear and so they bill me the same as a Grayhound.
I just can't take that at 9500#. So that is just a place I don't go anymore. It did used to be reasonable, but they changed that some years back. If they raise the rate again, it will be cheaper to drive around.

Actually, the Silver Lake over by Mears is one I have never been to.
