Is anyone familiar with Simmeron Park in Monroe, Ga.? It is a mobile home park with overnight spaces for RVs. We need someplace to stay fo a few days the end of March. Any suggetions??

Not familiar with that private park; but Hard Labor Creek State Park is SE of Monroe abt 20 miles, complete with golf course. visit: www.gastateparks.org

Thanks wkdwitch, I will look into Hard Labor St. park. My husband loves to golf and here in the north, he doesn't do that all winter and is itching to get out. The drive is further but appears to be on a small, less traveled (I hope) road.

Trailer parks are NOT a good idea for a vacation in that area.

Being that we live in the area, I would have to recommend another Park...........Fort Yargo, which is in the town of Winder GA. We had some friends from Canada who stayed there and they liked it. We have stayed there several times and must say it is very nice and well secured place, not your typical Trailer Park setting. JMHO,good luck

Thanks Doc and Justimagination. We just need a place to stay till Monday. It appears Fort Largo would be good, but is booked for the weekend. Can either or both of you private messge me about Simmeron park. I love this message board for the help it provides. Thanks!!
