Sioux Falls or Sioux City

Leaving Custer on Friday and heading to north central Arkansas. Need a recommendation for a one night stop in eastern Nebraska or Western Iowa.

Poncia State Park won't take reservations and looks the best.

If you go south thru Hot Springs, Chadron, Alliance, and then to Sidney and I-80 East, you have lots of choices on I-80. Click HERE for a list I posted in another thread. If you make it as far as Omaha, There is a Casino in Council Bluffs that has RV Parking and hookups and a couple of places to eat in the casino and nearby.

There is a great RV park on I-29 at the Onawa exit. It is called On-Your-Way. FHU with wifi. In a grove of huge cotton woods. Fuel and food at the same exit. Easy off and on there. We have stayed there a number of times. The staff is very nice.

If you want to stay a day, head back to Sioux City and explore the city park on the banks of the Missouri. There is a museum in a now-beached Missouri work boat that is very interesting. I don't think it is legal to stay in the park, but it might be. Plenty of parking but no hookups. Great view of the river

May be a little late getting this to you but Victorian Acres in Nebraska City is really nice and quiet. Just 5 miles off I-29 and the 10 mile marker/exit.
