Smokemont Campground in Sept

Planning a trip to the Smoky Mt NP in Sept. Considering staying within the park for a few nights at Smokemont an a few outside the park in a commercial campground.

DW doesn't want to live off the 'grid' for the 7 day trip. Have equipped the 5er with extra batteries, inverter and have a Honda 2000i and the Blue tote. So don't see a problem with my setup for a few days or the week.

Anyone stayed there recently and have any advice they would like to share.

Thanks in advance.

We stayed there for several days off the grid and it was not bad at all. Going in September the temps should be enjoyable. I just suggest getting a spot that has shade.....I would definitely do it again. If you have time Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forrest is awesome!!
