We are looking for a campground that is away from the general congestion of Gatlinburg but has full hookups and feels like you are in the NP. We are traveling in a 38' Class A. Any suggestions?

Hi Scooter16,
Two choices for you to consider are:
Cove Creek in Townsend at http://www.covecreekrvresort.com/
The Dell At Hidden Mountain Resort in Sevierville at Hidden Mountain Resort, Inc. | Cabin Types | The Dell RV
Both offer what you have asked for. The Dell is about a mile off the Parkway (in the general area of the Opry/Titanic). Cove Creek is about 8 miles from the Parkway on RT 321 South.

Smokey Mountain Premier RV Resort is a newer campground and very quiet. We've stayed there a handful of times now and love it. It's in Cosby and about 20 minutes from either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.

A few years back we stayed in one called "camping in the Smoky's". Small place, large sites. Very clean place. On the Gatlinburg Trolly route. About 2 -3 miles NE of downtown Gatlinburg.
We stayed at the KOA in Townsend, TN. Right on a river, very quiet.
