Snake River KOA

FYI:
I just tried to make a reservation at the Snake River KOA, website says up to 36', I call and they tell me only 30', these folks should get their act together. Six foot is a big difference.

Anyway if anyone knows of a good campground around the Snake River below Jackson Hole I'd appreciate it.

Lazy J campground is at Hoback Jct. The area is all torn up with road construction. But no work is being done. The campground is right on the road (so to speak). They only have 6 transient spots and they don't take reservations. You might do better at the Virginian in town. A bit pricey, but this IS Jackson Hole. Also, north of town is Gros Ventre (pronounced Grovont). It is dry camping with water and dump available. It is in Grand Teton NP and run by a concessioner at about $20/night. I don't know exactly what you are looking for in amenities. Alpine does have several campgrounds but it is 36 miles south of Jackson.

We stayed there two years ago in a 36' TT, no problems at all. Great location, our site was right on the river, plus nice amenities for the kiddos.
