Does anyone have any suggestions for Southern CA desert campgrounds for a couple of weeks in the New Year? Anywhere around the Salton Sea area or Joshua Tree would be nice.
Thanks

Outdoor Resorts Motorcoach Country Club is a great place. It is in Indio, so half way in between your request. I believe one of the nicest parks in the country. (a bit pricey, though.)

There are some really nice RV Resorts in that area, but I wouldn't call them "campgrounds". We have stayed at both of the Outdoor Resort resorts in the Palm Springs area, and highly recommend them. However, not sure if any spaces are available for Jan or Feb stays, as that is their peak season.

There are some regular "campgrounds" in the areas you mentioned and should be listed in either Woodall's or Trailer Life Directory online.... Good Luck... hope you find a place.
