mbass777, I have not heard of such a facility in South Carolina. The parks on the beach are pretty full right now especially here in Myrtle Beach. Good luck and if you find something let us know.
Have you tried James Island County Park? That would be excellent for the kids especially with the water park and they are dog friendly and they have a doggie beach!
No boondocking though at JI.

And if I remember right from our trip to James Island last year, you get free admission to the County Park at Folly Beach. So you have to drive a few miles to get to the beach, but you have a place to park when you get there.

Myrtle Beach's 5 or 6 major campgrounds stay full all summer. We made our reservation for Myrtle Beach Travel Park back in Feb. where the lady said at that time most of June and July was filled. We are going for 9 nights in mid Aug. We are paying $64 per night I can't think of anywhere you could Boondock except for one night at the Camping World in MB. You might want to check the barrier island area on NC coast.
DriVer any talk of people worried about the Gulf oil slick coming up the coast of Florida, Georgia or the Carolina's
