South Florida Gulf Coast

We are leaving Ontario the last week of Nov and heading to the Port Charlotte-Fort Myers-Naples corridor until the end of Feb
This is our first time in Florida with our 30' fifth.
Looking for RV Park recommendations.
Don't mind moving a couple of times but would likely stay for a month or more at any park.
Prefer parks with cable tv and good high speed internet.

Make your reservations NOW. Florida is very busy in winter.

We spent 6 weeks in the area last year and there are some great campgrounds.

I would recommend the following if you can get in:

A. Riverside RV resort Just west of Port Charlotte. Pet friendly, lots of activities, reasonably priced. Nice size lots.

Riverside RV Resort - A Resort Campground in Arcadia, Florida

B. San Carlos RV resort. Ft Myers Beach, FL. Pet friendly, lots of activities and reasonably priced (smaller lots) with the exception of their superior lots (Big Rig large lots) which do not have a monthly or weekly rate in the winter. Can book for a month but you pay the daily rate.

Fort Myers Beach, RV Park, Camping, Waterfront

Harbor Lake is an nice park between Englewood and Port Charlotte. Nice wide and big spaces. Many with concrete pads. By the way there is Not a city named Port Charlotte. Charlotte County has only one city named Punta Gorda . Myakka river RV Resort is New, beautiful & expensive. Ramblers Rest on river road is ok. If you have an Android device go to RVPARKY and do a search. From Port charlotte down to Naples there are lots of nice parks. @0 miles South of Naples is a quaint little town, Everglades city. It is right on the edge or beginning of 1000 islands and Everglades national Park. least as it was. this is the real Florida. The National park has 3 camp grounds, 1st come 1st get a spot. They are dry camping except for the middle one which has water and elect. 10-12 day max stay. best deal on monthly rates. Make reservations as soon as possible to get your choice of campgrounds. Safe travels... ed
