South Lake Tahoe

Would anyone have any RV park recommendations for an August trip to South Lake Tahoe Nevada? How are the sites and were there many motorhomes? I have a 30 ft Class A.

We have stayed at two in Tahoe. Tahoe Valley RV in CA and Zephyr Cove NV. both are nice and have websites you can google for more info.

The wife and I really like Zephyr cove. Beware reservations need to be made way in advance for anywhere in Tahoe during the summer months. Lots of steep curvy roads getting there if coming from the west use hi way 50. I wouldn't try to go from the 80 to the south side it's real scary in a Motorhome in spots. Not too bad if you cut around the lake to the north though, just longer but lots of scenery.

Zephyr Cove is great. I usually take Kingsbury grade up and down.

The city of Lake Tahoe has an RV park called Campground by the lake. Power & water at many sites, kind of rustic but you might want to check them out on the internet. We just spent five nights there and it was good for us. South Lake Tahoe, CA - Official Website - Campground by the Lake
