While in Tucson don't miss Sabino Canyon. You can take a tram round trip or get on or off at different stops. We chose to ride to the top and walk down.

I have to agree with all of the above. Don't forget the stunning golf courses also. The Mountain course at the Loews Resort is special.
The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum [ASDM] is a must see for us each year. There is a small county campground call Gilbert Ray just a mile or so from the ASDM. Also nearby is Saguaro National Park (drive the Bajada Loop in the toad...not the MH). If you have a couple of days, take the time to see the above, and experience the wonder and solitude of a sunrise and sunset in the Sonora desert. If you take the RV to Gilbert Ray campground be sure to go by way of the 19, NOT Gates Pass (although taking the toad up there for a sunset is highly recommended). Enjoy! February is a great time to be in southern AZ.

Tubac is about 1 hour south of Tucson. It's a great art community and a fun place to wander around. A couple of good restaurants there, too. Sabino Canyon in Tucson offers great hiking as well as a pleasant tram ride for easier sightseeing. Definitely DO NOT miss the Sonora Desert Museum on the west side of Tucson.

The US/Mexican border is safer than many places in Tucson and Phoenix. If you have a passport with you, cross over and enjoy real Mexican food, affordable pharmaceuticals, and inexpensive dental care.

Tubac is a great little art village about 40 miles south of Tucson on I 19. Excellent golf course at the resort there (Tubac Golf Resort I think)...filmed Tin Cup there! Next week is the big arts festival in Tubac...gets crowded but well worth the effort. Be careful of the margaritas at Dos, a little Mexican spot in the middle of town.

Plenty of good recommendations here. I'd repeat one: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson. We always take out of town guests, if it is fall, winter, early spring. Make it especially interesting by seeing the 10 am, Raptor show. Amazing close up of flying hawks, owls, falcons, etc. Just don't hold your camera above you head!

Trip Advisor will give the best traveler's perspective on things to see and go in Tucson and Cochise County. But the Desert Museum and Pima Air&Space Museum are mandatory!

An absolute "Must Not Miss" in Tucson area - Kartchner Caverns in Benson about 40 mi east of Tuscon. Kartchner State Park campground is right there - just walk over to the Cavern entrance. You need reservations for the tours and do both tours. Both very different. You will never see natural caverns like these anywhere else. This was the highlight of our 3 month Snowbird trip to AZ in 2015. I would go on the tours again in a heartbeat!

The Desert Botanical Gardens is worth a visit. It is near the Phoenix airport.
