Flying Flags RV Resort in Beulton, just north of Santa Barbara. Temecula, North of San Diego, Chula Vista RV Resort in San Diego. There is also a park in Malibu, overlooks the ocean but on wrong side of freeway to be beachfront. Just a few ideas.

Give Indian Waters a Whirl

Indian Waters RV Resort | rv campground | rv camping | rv resort - CA

They have your criteria. It's in Indio, perhaps a bit farther north than you want to be... But just a bit east of Palm Springs and 2 hours from Downtown L.A.

They also have a "Winter Season Social Director"!

X2....

After wintering at Casa Grande RV Resort we stopped at Indian Waters on our way back to our home base in Reno last March. Same owner for both Resorts.

Very nice spaces. Entertainment most every weekend - live music, dancing, etc. Great pools. Putting green. Indoor shuffle board, competition quality. Security is good, gated access. Very nice gym - organized activities. Billards room. Reading room. Meeting rooms.

Wifi works. Cable TV works.

Very nice and accommodating staff. Daily trash pickup at your space.

Lots of very good nearby shopping, to include a great hobby shop. Eateries nearby. Wine country not far away.

The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course

I second The Springs at Borrego RV Resort. It's a paradise with all of the amenities; exercise rooms and equipment, pool, spa, golf store and trainer, golf course, etc. The RV Resort sits in the middle of the golf course with views of the course. The course has lakes, water falls, fountains, and palm trees with a mountain scene in the background. It is an internationally known "dark sky" community for stargazing and it is surrounded by a huge state park so that there is no rampant development. The Village of Borrego Springs is close by and is small, quaint and has the necessities. There are no freeways or train tracks and minimal traffic. Less than two hours to San Diego. It is very quiet and serene. Fantastic!

When we stayed at Newport Dunes several years ago, they offered room service! DW said "I thought being able to carry our ice cream was a luxury"! So I asked her the obvious, would you rather cook tonight? She said hand me the menu. They actually delivered the food with a golf cart. Nice.
