WE stopped here because it advertised in Trailer Life as Adults only, modem friendly and dogs on leash only.
Turned out to have kids all over the place. OK, not a big deal. Can hook your laptop up in their office for 5 (FIVE) minutes sitting at a small child's desk like I had in 2nd grade. Must dial into your carrier long distance--no local numbers.
On a walk, our dog was ATTACKED by 4 dogs not leashed. Moved to Portal RV which is a DREAM.

Hi. Yes, Portal is on the other end of town--Moab. We are there now until next Tuesday. I am sitting in my MH at the table using my laptop with NO 5 minute limit. No dogs off leashes....nice park.

Sorry that you had problems at Spanish Trail. We have stayed there many times (the last time being in Early September) but we haven't had any problems at all.

I hate rvparks yet have stayed several times at Spanish Trail. Always friendly to me.
Arch View is another place.
I've never stayed at Portal,,,,too close to the uranium tailings dump.
The best places to camp around Moab are out among the scenery.

Maybe that's why all the RVs camped there tend to have an erie "glow" about them at night.

Mine Dump
yep, that's Arches NP in the background.

I think I've used the showers at Portal or the one next to it one time when I was camped in the mountains for several days.

Agree about Portal RV. We've stayed there several times. Very helpful folks in the office and the park is spotless.
