We spend a LOT of time in the area and I can't help you with the Scottsdale side of town but spring trainning facilities on the west side have built up considerable over the past few years.

On the west side, the options we know of are Cotton Lane RV Resort... Destiny Phoenix RV Resort.... and, Leaf Verde RV Park. We always stay at Destiny. Cotton Lane is right across the street and has it's own little golf course. It looks ok but never ok enough to woo us away from Destiny. Leaf Verde just doesn't look inviting to us at all.

Destiny isn't a really high end resort by any means but the park is clean... fairly quiet... has a great pool and spa... a nice laundry and even a modest workout room. We spent a couple of weeks there in October and will be there next week through the month of January.

Good Luck...

Rick

If you are thinking east valley, I live at McKellips and Mesa Drive and my house backs up against one of the training ball parks.

There are several parks on McKellips within a mile that have vacancies. All advertising $199/month for RV parking.

IF you need to know in advance on availability, send me an email/PM and I can check out a couple or 3 for you.

Scottsdale Stadium
7408 East Osborn Road
Scottsdale, AZ 85251-6424
(480) 312-2586

to my house is just a shade over 10 miles

The RV parks I mentioned are about 100 west and 100 east McKellips Rd
which is 9.4 miles to the east address.

Use Google maps for this routing:

from:7408 East Osborn Road Scottsdale, AZ to:100 east McKellips Rd 85201

This is a better route because it will miss most of the infamous Loop rush hour traffic idiots. It will be regulated with signal lights on 45 mph streets. Much more efficient. and it is only 7.6 miles this way.

Cindy's Cafe on McKellips is the best breakfast place around. Don't ask me how I know <smirk>
