Most parks in St Augustine are a little pricey. I stay at Stagecoach RV Park. It is out FL16, just west of US95. A good basic and quiet park. No pool but a good laundry with showers and wi fi is available, no extra charge. Much more reasonable than the parks closer in. You pay for being closer to the beach. We are about 6 miles outside St Augustine but close to fuel and restaurants. Easy drive in to St Augustine. Best bang for the buck is stay out here and drive into one of the tour train depots. Free parking and the ticket is good for two days with the ability to get off and on the tour at any place you want to see. Mostly shaded sites with gravel roads. If you have sat. you may need to take a look at the available sites for a good point.

This is another vote for Stage Coach. Another benefit is CW is just on the other side of I95.

And one more is Indian Forest. It's on State Road 207 about 2 miles East of I 95 exit. It's on the North side of 207. You'll be about 5 miles from St. Augustine beach. But, the best beach is South of St. Augustine at Matanzas Inlet. Great seafood at two local restaurants.......Cowboy's and Barnacle Bill's has one in town and one at the Beach. Cowboy's is named after the family that owns it ..... it's not Western.

My vote is for Faver Dykes state park south of town. It is tight but we are combined length of 53ft and did fine. We had a blast in St. Augusting and thought Faver Dykes worked well for us. It was very quiet and we had out canoe with us so we even did some time on the river. If you need photos let me know and I will send you a link to where to find them.

If you want to be on or near the beach I would try Anastasia Island SP or gamble Rogers SP but the chance of getting a spot big enough is slim to none. North Beach is nice but pricey. Faver Dykes is a nice quiet SP south of town.

We ended up at Stagecoach RV....a nice family run RV park. Unfortunatly, it hasn't stopped raining here in over a week, and there was a significant amount of standing water at each campsite....can't blame the park for the rain. The owner made a point of telling me about the standing water before we registered. It sure made hooking up and unhooking a challange....It is a nice park and close to St. Augistine and the Golf Hall of Fame....thanks for the recommendation.
