Statesville, NC & Balloon Festival

We are planning on going to the NC Balloon Festival October 21. Is there a place other than commercial campgrounds close to the festival that would have room for a 33 foot 5er and power?

THANKS

Sorry to say no state of fed.CG close to the event. There is Duke Power state park ,but the sites are too small for your rig.Call the event people and see if they are going to have a place to dry camp on site. They use to do this at the old fair grounds .The KOA on I-77 would be your next bet,not much of a CG ,but safe and close to every thing.I would not stay a the CG off I-40. Thanks. We didn't see nything on the web. Were hoping for a county park or fairgrounds. We will contact the folks at NC Balloon to see if there will be spots.
