Stay Near Orlando

Hi All,

We are currently staying in Ft. Lauderdale near my daughter in preparation for relocating her to the Orlando area. We will be heading up to Orlando with her and are hoping for some advice on places to stay. We have narrowed it down to:

1. Tropical Palms Rv Resort
2. Wekiva Falls
3. Mill Creek
4. Sherwood Forest

We are in a 34 ft motorhome and are working remotely, but do not depend on park wi-fi. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Rick and Jessica

Kissimmee KOA

We stayed here for several days while visiting Orlando. Busy place with grassy and very long paved pull through sites, beautiful pool, nice people, small cg store, plenty of shopping nearby.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't quite figure out which park you had stayed at. Which did you like?

kb1flr,

We stayed at the Kissimmee/Orlando KOA. It is rated 8.5/10*/9 by Good Sam. We are not big KOA fans usually using them for overnight stays only. However, we were glad we had reservations for several days here.

We recently stated at Sherwood Forrest. It is a large place. Friendly people. Close to a lot of things.
Used PA for the discount.
Stayed a week and did Universal Studios.
Pretty easy in and out with our 42' DP and toad. Had a pull thru spot.

Hi kb1flr,
Wekiva Falls is the only CG mentioned that is a bit out of the way. The other 3 are off route 192. The bottom line is, because of traffic, stay where your travel is minimized when helping your daughter relocate to Orlando. I've been to all 4 of these places. All have the +/-. None are in the "write home about" category.
