looking for other attractions around steamtown that kids might enjoy, and campgrounds close by

There's lots to see and do around the Steam Town Park. Within 1/2 mile is the Scranton Iron Furnace Historic Site. Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour is available only several miles from Steam Town. The nearest MH Park would likely be Keen Lake Campground which is approximately 14/16 miles located on Route 6.

Here's some additional info. If you do a search of Lackawanna County, Pa. you'll find additional activities. Visit the "Attraction Section".
