Just wondering if anyone has been here & can tell me if the roads are steep getting into or within this CG?
We haven't been here before & since the bottom camping area is closed, we will be going to the top of the mountain for those sites so wondering how much of a drag (literally) it will be on our diesel.....

Jo

Hello Jo, I see not too many replies. Means we all should go one day... Now all I can tell you, that in North America, we have only legal roads (I hope, I'm right on???), that pretty well all Trucks, cars and RV's can climb up and down.... I have been on a 13% Grade with my Concord (440 Dodge) and had no problem. Your Diesel should just love a road like that??!!!
After your return trip, pls. let us know how it went

Have lots of fun
TW

We were there 2-3 years ago on a side trip from Talledaga-- but we were in the toad. The roads from the interstate up to the campground were fine for a MH. I didn't go into the camping area so I can't comment about internal roads.
fyi- there is a super wally world in Oxford/Anniston right off the interstate. Good place to stock up on items

Took our 38' DP there with no problems. Nice scenic drive from I-20. Highest point in AL is in the park and the view from the dining room at the restaurant is magnificent. Plenty of hiking trails and such.
