Sat out a bad storm there a couple of years ago. Bad enough that it dropped a tree on the road inside the entrance and took out the power for the night. The Good Lord loveth a generator.

The Cracker Barrell there in Greenville is excellent. It is usually one of our "rest stops" both north and south bound.

Try the Original Oyster House on AL 59 in Gulf Shores when you get to Alabama State Park. In the last 20 years I never have had a bad meal there.

Sherling Lake in Greenville Alabama. Previously misspelled it. Great CG, quiet, friendly, escort to your camp site. Daily trash pickup, 25$ per day WSE, for Good Sam mbrs.3 miles off I65. Headed to Gulf State Park tomorrow!
