Has anyone been to the snow mountain at stone mountain GA? We'll be leaving tomorrow morning for that location.

Have not been to Snow MT, but anything else in Stone Mt is very pricey, from the entrance gate to anything else. Their RV sites are as well overpriced, not necessarly my opinion, just the truth.

justimagination hit the nail on the head. Stone Mountain is priced like DW, without all the DW features. The CG is way over priced. Some how, they still fill up. Therefore, with nothing much in the area (CG wise) it comes down to supply and demand.

We made it to Stone Mountain and back home in one piece. The grand kids had a great time playing in the snow which was set up where you would sit to watch the light show. On the way into the park my GPS took us in on a secondary entrance which had us going under a 12 foot RR bridge. Had to take a few side streets to get back on the main road. Most of the shops were closed inside the park, didn't buy anything. Yes the camp ground was full, all in all it was a good trip. Time to return to the real world now and keep up with our president.

The Campground is well maintained, and about the closest CG to Atlanta. We go there twice a year, for Medical Appointments in Atlanta. They offer a 25% discount on the CG site for stays for Medical Apts. Beats a $150 a nite hotel room. Only about 9 miles form Emory.

I've never stayed there but have noticed they are a Passport America CG with a one night limit. One night is better than none. Has anyone tried to use PA there?

I have used PPA at Stone Mountain. Be ready to camp in the deep woods. With a 36' coach, you should be okay on entry and exiting the camp site. When you reserve let them know you need a site that is easy to back into.
