Suggestions for campgrounds in Myrtle Beach Sc.

I am looking for some campground suggestions for Myrtle Beach in early October. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lived in Murrells Inlet but haven't stayed at a campground but have heard good things about Lakewood and also Ocean Lakes and possibly Huntington Beach State Park

We are going to Pirateland later this summer. The reviews are awesome. Download the Good Sam app to see the ratings of any searched resorts.

We are headed to Ocean Lakes in a few weeks....suppose to be the biggest resort on the ocean.

OCEAN LAKES hands down THE nicest and best Campground we have ever stayed at. We love waking up...stepping outside just to hear the call of the surf. And don't pass up Crabby Mike's seafood. ...no I don't work for either. ..I just like a good campground and a good place to eat...start and end each day with a walk on the beach...

Ocean Lakes is our favorite. I have talked to folks who like Pirateland and Lakewood just as well. Ocean Lakes has a lot of concrete sites. On the north end, the only one I would recommend is Myrtle Beach Travel Park.

For really good and fresh seafood, I would highly recommend the Gulf Stream in Garden City or one of the family-owned seafood restaurants in Murrell's Inlet.

We have stayed at myrtle beach travel park for years. Place is immaculate camp by the beach or in woods by lake and best of all no kids on golf carts terrorizing you like the other parks. In the fall have stat 6 nights get 1 free.

We like all three commercial campgrounds south of the airport (Pirateland, Lakewood and Ocean Lakes). All have beachfront sites and lots of amenities. Just pick one and while you're there walk around the other two to check them out.

We've been to ocean lakes, myrtle beach travel park and apache family campground. wife prefer being north myrtle area (apache and Mb travel park). we bring our two kids ( dogs) and they LOVE riding in golf cart. no carts at Mb travel park so that is not a future option for us. ocean lakes gives us a claustrophobic feeling and way too many crazies on carts. so for us apache is where we will stay. IF golf carts were not important, then our top choice would be myrtle beach travel park. also apache has a pier with a great resturant and entertainment.

Wife, I, and pet spent 12 day's last Sept. at Ocean Lake.
Would recomend it, look up their web site, big campground's, with plenty of site's, and also permanent residence.
Right on the ocean with dune's blocking the wind, water view's.
