Suggestions for RV park near Boston?
We are planning a NE trip this summer in early August. We will be in Maine the first week in August and then plan to come through Massachusetts. I would love to stop and spend a couple days touring Boston.
Any suggestions of places to stay somewhere around that area where we could either drive in or take a train into town?
Thanks!!!

Several good places on Cape Cod, and you can take a bus to town.

Boston Minuteman and Normandy Farms both have good reviews. I would opt for Boston Minuteman knowing its proximity to the city.

Boston area cg
+1 for Normandy Farms. Easy train ride in to city from Quincy Adams, I believe. Don't have parking worries. Ask the office for help. They are very friendly and helpful.

Irene, there are four good CGs spaced around I-495. They are (north to south) Boston/Minuteman in Littleton, Circle CG Farm in Bellingham, Normandy Farms in Foxboro, and the Boston/Cape Cod KOA in Middleboro. There are a few old small State Parks closer in, but space for a larger MH is scarce, as is 50A service and sewer connection. Not unfindable, but hit or miss.
The four all offer adequate space for large units, and full hookups. They are all close to commuter rail and all about the same travel time to Boston-- about an hour. The KOA is a touch longer- maybe 1:15, but the trade off is that Middleboro is considerably closer to both Cape Cod and Plymouth, making those visits far easier if you so desire.
I've stayed more than once at all except Normandy, and would return to any. Recently we've frequented Circle CG because it is most convenient to our daughter's house.
Good Luck!

We stayed at boston/minuteman this past summer and would stay there again if in the area. Nice campground, great staff and well maintained.

JFXG is right on, the only thing I would add, check out the MBTA schedules for subway and commuter trains. You really don't want to drive into or thru Boston

+1 for Normandy Farms. Great facilities. They also have a storage lot available if you want to spend a night or two in the city.

There is a great little (local) restaurant with daily specials (fish on one day) that is terrific. It is just down the road and the office will have directions for you. The place is called Tiny's
