The park I stay at is about an hour out of Savanna. but it's nice (Cathead Creek Ranch RV park) not much for the kids there though. Fishing and a petting zoo is all.

And you are kind of "Out in the sticks" as well.

There are more kid friendly parks in Savanna but.. Well.. My "Child" is 33 and about to have a child of her own.. Which is WHY I'll be at Cathead Creek.. Six miles from where she lives.

Well we have trip secured for July. We ate stating at Savannah oaks. Now we have to decide where we want to watch fireworks....HH, Savannah, Tybee......decisions.... decisions. We modified the dates for St. Augustine and actually got into Anastasia SP. Quite pleased with that!! However, I would like to check out north beach sometime.

While in savannah, we stayed at the visitors center in the historic area. They allow you to stay there self contained for 7 dollars a night. We walked to all sites in the historic district. There were four other rv,s there. We felt safe. Our only disturbance was the nightly street sweeper who came through the parking area.

Thanks for the tip... might try the visitors center the next time we are in the area.
