Today was one of those days that makes putting up with the usual winter grays worthwhile. Overnight dropped to about 28F. Sunrise over the Cascades at about 7:15 was spectacular. It's been gin clear all day. From our neigborhood park we could see the Olympics and Mount Rainier. From the top of the hill we could see Grouse Mountain and Whistler/Blackcomb to the north and Mount Baker and its attendants to the east.
Daytime high made about 45F. Tonight's low will be about 30 and we should have another couple of days like today before we're back to the usual 800 broken, 1800 overcast, rain and fog, 0.25 miles visibility.
Sure beats 30" of snow and 45-knot winds. As an ex-Boeing guy, I sure hope all those head-shed types who moved the Corporate HQ from Seattle to Chicago a few years ago are enjoying themselves! Couldn't happen to more deserving people!
