I need your help to plan a trip from SW Louisiana to the Smokey Mts. in North North Carolina to see the fall leaves.
I'm driving a 40' motorhome with a toad. Where do I need to stay and what to see and do?

We make this trip yearly from Baton Rouge. Most years we travel I12 east then I10 to Slidell I59 to I40. Some campgrounds River Country in Gadsden Al, Ball park in Hover Al, Holiday Travel Park in Chattanooga. This year we plan to go through Savanna, then through Ashville. We like River Plantation RV Resort in Sevierville, but there are many nice campgrounds in the area. I suggest you make reservations in the busy areas.
Late October, I think the color change varies from year to year, but I have heard around the third week of October. Expect large crowds and heavy traffic.
