Hi Bobbet32A,
There are no CG close to Syracuse. Sorry to say that, but it is true. Once one gets out 20 to 30 miles there are some state parks and private CGs. The private CGs are nothing to write home about.

Thanks for the info,,My son called today and said this park (Pleasant Lake RV CG) is not far from them, wondering if any has heard of it or stayed there...This is from their website:

It features 112 RV and tent sites available with water, electric and sewer hookups in beautiful woodland surroundings, with quick and easy access to many local activities including a zoo, golf courses, movie theaters, shopping centers, restaurants and much more.
Pleasant Lake RV Park offers...- Private beach on Pleasant Lake for Park guests
- Camp convenience store
- Propane refills
- Dumping station
- Great fishing
- Volleyball
- Horseshoe pits
- Guest showers and restrooms
- Close to local attractions
- Every site comes with a picnic table and fire ring

Hi Bobbet32A,
Your son must live North of Syracuse. The TL Directory rates the CG:
Park = 5.5
Restrooms = 4.5
Visual 6.0
out of a possible 10.
Exit 32 on I81 and west 1.2 miles
30 AMP electric
Looking at the TD DVD map, it looks like quite an adventure to get there from I81. Their contact number is 315-668-2074. For me, I'd call them and ask questions:
1. really only 30 AMP power, no 50 AMP?
2. based on your RV, do the roads to get to the CG have low hanging trees
3. quality of roads to the CG from I81
4. any other questions about the kind of site you'd like.
If I was to bring my coach to this area, I honestly do not know where I would stay.

Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville is about 30 mins. east of downtown 20 mins. for our house. Make arrangements soon, they fill up quick now that folks are staying close to home.

He lives in Liverpool, the comments you made were good and I will check in to them and find the answers...
