Table rock lake, Arkansas

Thinking about going to table rock lake in June for a week long stay. Will be starting in Orlando. Any tips on where to stay and what to see along the way would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

We visited the Hot Springs area for a few days, and Crater of Diamonds SP in Murfreesboro for 5 days last May. We were on our way home to Colorado after visiting family in Georgia, and just wanted to see Arkansas along the way. Both are highly recommended, and we will revisit again.

First take a look at the Shell Knob area. Quiet. Clean. Great water. We used to spend 2 weeks in that area each year.

You can travel by boat to Eagle Rock and float up the stream where the super cold spring water holds fresh trout, Or drive to Roaring River state park for trout fishing.

If I remember correctly Campbell point was a nice place. But it's been a few years so changes may have occurred

There are fabulous coves where you can spend a quiet day!

Two nearby destinations worth considering is Eureka Springs & Branson

We stayed at this Table Rock Lake CG the first year it opened. It used to be an Outdoor Resort property until they went belly up in the 08 recession, now it is owner lots. They have nice lots and facilities the only downside we saw was it is far away to any shopping, dinning, or entertainment except fishing/boating. If you want quiet...,this is the place.

Downtown Rv park is nice and right on the river. Pedestrian bridge across River to Clinton Presidential Library and many nice restaurants. You can walk or ride the trolly.

Phil I read what I posted earlier and thought I might better explain. The Downtown RV Park that is across the Arkansas River from the Clinton Presidential Library is in Little Rock, Ar. Thought it might make an interesting 1 or 2 day stop headed to TableRock. Easy on and off interstate. Have fun!

Peel Ferry

Don't miss Peel Ferry, it crosses the Lake at Hwy 125
There are camp grounds on the North and South of the ferry.

Here is a link to the Ferry Info...
Peel Ferry - Peel

Enjoy...

I would also look at Eureka Springs, AR, about a 45 minute drive from Table Rock but also has Bulls Shoals Lake just outside of Eureka. I like staying at Wanderlust on Passion Play Road, yes there is a Passion Play Theater and I haven't attended, but Eureka Springs would be a beautiful drive from Table Rock for a day trip.

There is a lot to do in this area, canoeing, biking, some of the best motorcycle roads, crafts, fabulous restaurants.

Another beautiful drive is to Jasper, AR, and a great place to eat at Ozark Café.

If you decide to include Eureka Springs in your itinerary, private message me and I will fill you in on more details.

Beautiful country in the Branson, Table Rock, Eureka Springs area.

Great Corps of Engineers park on the lake, good level paved sites: Mill Creek. It is the best of the COE campgrounds in the area. We spent 10 days there last fall in 43 ft coach. Waterfront sites available. Looks very remote on maps, but easy drive from Branson/west Branson. Beautiful area!
