I am heading to Nashville and Memphis from NJ. I am staying at the Graceland RV in Memphis any recommendations for great BBQ take out. I am also staying in Nashville KOA, any thoughts on great take out.

Can't help you with take out but at the KOA in Nashville the restaurant Cock Of The Walk is right in the drive of the KOA. It's pretty good country cooking.

While at Graceland their is a Bar B Q place about a mile away. They will pick you up at the CG and bring you back in a old Limo.

I've had better Bar B Q and I have had worse. The desk has the telephone #.

We live in Memphis so we've been to most of the BBQ places; we haven't found one that we would say is bad. Our favorite, though, is Memphis BBQ, which oddly enough is in Horn Lake, Mississippi. That's just a few miles south on I55 from where you're staying. Get the ribs!

If you would like some Nashville hot chicken, try Hattie B's. We ate at Peg Leg Porker also in Nashville and it was terrible. Cock O' The Walk next to the KOA in Nashville is ok.

Marlows BBQ just down the road a mile or so from the Graceland RV Park. Exit the park turn right and in a mile start looking for it on the right. Big sign lots of pink color. Enjoy. Elvis used to frequent it. Lots of Elvis decor.

voyager35L,

I think the place close to the rv park is probably Marlow's http://www.marlowesmemphis.com/ I've heard good things but haven't been there.

Our favorite is Central BBQ but it's not close to the park, but you can try to keep the coleslaw cool on the way back and reheat the rest. http://cbqmemphis.com/locations/
