Has anyone been here? How does it compare to say Bethpage or Holiday trav-l-park? I seemed to have over looked this place over the past few years. It gets great reviews and seems like it would be worth a visit. We only go to "resort" type campgrounds and avoid the rustic type places.

Another one is Island resort in MD. Im wondering if we could use it as an alternative to the other two major places in OC MD.

I have never camped there but have a friend who does 3-4 times a year...he loves it there.

Can't help you with Tall Pines but we have visited (drove through) Castaway's while staying at Pocomoke River State Park. My opinion is I guess it's nice if you like a "resort" type camping experience this might by your kind of place.

We personally love the Maryland and Delaware State Parks.

We frequent castaways, it's one of our favorite places but impossible to get a reservation that's not a year in advance. That's why I asked about Island resort as well.

We stayed at Tall Pines 2 years ago. It was great. Beautiful views of Chesapeake Bay. I heard they had some damage during Hurricane Sandy, but I imagine it has been repaired by now. Friendly staff, clean, large campsites. Would definitely go back.

Thanks. I have it on my list not sure if we will make it this season, but surely on my list.
