I am doing some preliminary planning for a trip in the latter part of April. I am looking for a campground (In the St Pete area) with full hookups, pet friendly, wifi an cable TV. We would also like to take the dog to a beach for a swim if it is permissable. Last year We stayed at A KOA in St Augustine ($76/night). I thought it was a bit on the expensive side but was under the impression that it was still the peak season and the snowbirds had not yet left to go north.

Try Ft Desoto county park. Its a 10/10/10 in my books. Hard to get in though. try
www.pinellascounty.org/park If you can get in its really nice. The county owns the whole island and it is an old Civil War fort. several fishing piers, lots of beach, bike trails everywhere. and etc. rsvs 727-582-2267 about $30 to #35 a night. s/Toby
