I will be driving up to Taos New Mexico during Spring Breack does anyone have any experiance visting there. Where to stay,eat visit etc...

We were in Taos in the fall. We didn't actually stay in Taos, we stayed in Rociado, NM, in a RV resort called Pendaries Village. www.pendariesvillage.net. Nice RV park, actually has sites for sale, the sites are carved out of the forest and the scenery is actually breath taking. Beautiful area, but there is nothing around the area. This is a small village, no stores, notta....nothing. We drove the "enchanted circle" which takes you through Angel Fire and Taos. Also, very remote but scenic. If you are looking for somewhere quite and out of the way Taos, Angel Fire and all areas through there would be great. We did go on to Santa Fe and stayed at a park called SantaFe Skies Rv Park. www.santafeskiesrvpark.com. GREAT place! Centrally located, nice sites and easy access. There is a ton to do and see in Santa Fe. Hope this helps.

We based out of Taos Valley RV & Campground, Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, a few years ago when we spent 3 -4 days in Taos. It is centrally located in Taos and convenient for exploring the town. There were rigs there of all sizes. Taos is a very interesting area and known for it's local artists. We'd go back again.

We stayed in Monte Bello RV Park back in '08. It has nice wide sites and full hookups and a nice view of the mountains.

Taos is known for art galleries. Also be sure to check out Taos Pueblo, Kit Carson Home, Taos Plaza, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

This past June we stayed at Taos Velley RV Park. Nice, quiet easy to get to town. Have stayed there a couple of years ago also and liked it.
Try the Old Blinking Light Restaurant north of town. Very good & if a nice night eat outside & watch the sunset.
Santa bFe is only 72 miles south and The Trailer Ranch RV Park is nice. It's a 55+ park so no kids. Santa Fe is also a nice fun town. Santa Fe Steamers Restaurant is close to the RV park. It's Cajun food, good.

Another fun activity is the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad from Chama to Antonito Colorado. Well worth the trip,

We stayed in a BLM campground on the road leading in from the south. We were camped on the Rio Grande. The site had water and electricity and about 20 bucks a night. We used that as our base camp. Toured the Angel Fire route as well. There is an awesome place above the valley on the east side of the mountains north of the ski resorts. It is a memorial built by a dad whose son was killed in Viet Nam. Every week or so the post tributes to others who were killed in Viet Nam. They have letters from family members describing their loved ones. It is well worth the visit. Don't forget to visit the bridge that spans the Rio Grande. Used in a lot of movies (Terminator 3 I believe.) You can get out and walk the span. Nice visitor center on the west side of the span.
