Taos, NM to Pagosa Springs, Co

Was planning to spend a week in Taos starting tomorrow, but found out there is a barn dance this weekend and the inn is full. Got reservations for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights only. So for Sun night and later, looking for a place to stay. Will try Red River maybe for a few days if we can get a place, then we are wanting to go to Pagosa Springs. Can anyone offer insight for Pagosa Springs, place to stay and what to see. Prefer 50 amp FHU. We can do a little walking but no hiking. Thanks

Definitely spend a few hours soaking in the springs. They are awesome! There are approx. 12 individual small concrete pools all with varying temperatures. They have a daily schedule of draining and completely clean the pools. It's a very clean facility. Pack a small cooler with drinks and snacks/lunch and relax overlooking the river. It's a nice relaxing way of breaking up the driving/touring of RVing!

Unfortunately Pagosa Springs doesn't have a good selection of RV parks. We like space between sites. We always stay in a forest service campground but then, those are the kinds of campground we enjoy.

Here are reviews on the parks:

Made it to Taos Valley RV Park for 3 nights. Then Sun and Mon night at Monte Bello. Then a few nights in Chama, and then on to Pagosa Springs. Still looking for input on The Last Resort RV park between Chama and Pagosa Springs. Thanks.
