Thousands of sites in Mesa, AZ. Just need to find one that has a opening. It's less than a 30 minute trip when traffic is not at it's peak.

I usually winter in at the Phoenix Metro RV park between Mid Dec and Late Jan.

Its in Northern part of Phoenix urban area, right near the intersection of I-17 and the 101 loop.

Do you really need to be around Tempe for a specific reason? If not, I'd begin looking in the Apache Junction area which is a lot better - better parks and better scenery.
