Teton Valley RV

Teton Valley RV in Victor, Idaho - if we stay there, can we see most of the Grand Tetons via day trips? Colter Bay Village seems to be sold out for the dates we need in July. And we don't want to do Teton Pass in the motorhome ... but don't mind doing it in our toad (Dodge Ram). We would be there approximately 8 days. Thoughts?

have stayed there twice. it is a very nice park with an easy commute to jackson and teton np. i prefer it to the hustle bustle in jackson.

We stayed there two years ago and it worked well to go over the pass to visit the Teton's and Jackson, but it would be pretty far to do Yellowstone - we stayed near the west entrance for Yellowstone then moved down to Victor. We thought the campground was nice and here is my short blog post about it - Big Dude's Eclectic Ramblings: 2013 Western Trip – Victor, ID

It's doable but we found it too far to drive to hiking in the Tetons. We stay in the non-reservation sites in the national park itself - Gros Ventre or Colter Bay campground. Each has 300 sites and we've always gotten a site with our 40' MH. They have water fill and dump stations. We like Gros Ventre the best.
