My sister and her husband told us that Victoria has a wonderful RV campsite, Wow I think anything over $500.00 a month is pretty steep, you might as well stay home and pay your house rent for that.

Mission West update. Two assaults this week, 11/1/11, one by the partner that wants to own the park and the other by his brother-in-law sending a resident to the hospital. The guy who wants to be the new owner wants to increase the rates for permanents and people coming in for seasonal will be charged $400 less for a six month stay. Owners of sites feel this is not fair and this guy lost control at a meeting. Now the pool has no heater, hot tub is not working and he will not fix until an agreement can be made but only on his terms. Pot holes in roads getting bigger with no intentions of fixing them. Acctivities may or may not happen depending on the mood he is in for that day. The park meeting lasted maybe 5 minutes before this incident happened. Smoking gun here and no telling when it will go off.

Wow, that is Bad Business and should never ever let things like that happen, sure won't go to that RV park.

We stayed in the Valley in 2009. We stayed at Canyon Lake while we were looking around. Small quiet friendly park about $400 but not as active as we like. We are going next year and will stay at Texas Trails or Benson Palms as we swim and bike and they have indoor and out pools. We are dancers and you can dance everyday all day as all the parks are open to the public. In 2009 the Valley was cold as was FL but we had a grand time. We also stayed in Harlingen but it was windy, there we stayed at Tropic Winds and Sunshine but it was too windy. Read the reviews for Donna, Pharr, Harlingen, Mission, McAllen and you can make up your mind. there are about 500 parks.
