Does anyone have experience camping to attend the Texas State Fair.
I'm sure you have to stay pretty far out. Is there a bus service, or other means of transportation? I sure would hate to fight the traffic that will be there.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit offers a shuttle service from various locations around the Metroplex. I suggest you vist the DART site and then choose a cg based on a close shuttle location.
For sure you dont want to drive your toad down into Fair Park,,too much traffic, too expensive, and too risky.

My wife and I have never stayed at a CG for the Texas State Fair but we have been going for 38 years, only missed a few years, and never had a problem driving, parking or felt we were at risk. Park in one of the city run parking lots, avoid opening weekend and UT/OK weekend!

Did you drive your rv to the fair and if so, did you spend the night in it? If not, where did you stay in your rv .

I did not drive the RV to the fair. We live only about an hour from there so we always just drove over for the day. I don't know of any RV parks close to the fair grounds, but I know a lot of RVs are there. Not sure if they only rent spots to vendors or if they have other slots but worth checking out if you are going to spend a few days there.
