Texas trip over Christmas

We're planning on going to Texas, Houston area, to spend Christmas with grandkids. Plan on taking a rather roundabout way going from here in Manchester, TN to Tunica, MS. Spend the night there gamble a little, and continue on down I-55 to I-10 and on to Lake Charles, LA area the next day. Has any one stayed at Isle of Capri Casino RV Park there and if so what are your opinions of it?

You may want to put Isle of Capri or Tunica (or Bossier City?) or something like that in your intro line. I clicked on your post expecting a Texas-related inquiriy but you are inquiring about a place in Mississippi or Louisiana. People that could help you may just skip on by your post. Good luck on your inquiry and I'll keep an eye on any replies because this is a trip that has been on our list of things to do.

The Isle of Capri in Bossier City is nice. It is small (about 25-30 sites). Train tracks located near the back row and train run constantly. It did not bother me but some people think different. Make sure you have a reservation. I plan on being there around the 28th or 29th.

Have not stayed at the Isle of Capri in Lake Charles but it looks ok from the road. We have stayed at L'Auberge du Lac RV park and it is great. There is a shuttle that takes you to the casino.
