Thanks for the update. In case you didn't know - and it may not matter - the golf course is a short, straight drive or long put to MCD. Wouldn't hurt to stop in. I found everyone there to be living examples of Texas Hospitality.

Give a holler when you head this way.
Enjoy and stay safe!

I think that one of the best kept secrets of south Texas is south padre island, very nice , friendly and inexpensive , I like south Texas better that south Florida , I have traveled throughout both states winter and summer.

[ was born in Texas and only lived in Louisiana for 3 yrs. came back to Texas as fast as I could. and been here full time since. We love to travel out of state but always glad to get home. but it ain't warm here in central Texas except in the summertime.then we call it hott. I f you are buying an RV go to FLA. or Cal. if you are selling one ? bring it to Texas, we still have jobs here and the RV market is very strong here

Florida once was a great place to visit. Unfortunately to many foreigners moved in. Lost its charm & friendliness.

When your ancestors came here, they must have been foreigners.

We love the weather here in southern texas just as good or better than florida. Have had no problems with bugs and snowbirds like they do in florida. People are so much friendlier here in texas and prices are exellent.

I've been to FL. Liked it, but I love the water and FL has some really cool springs and rivers. I can kayak and swim in FL. And in the winter months the gators and snakes are sluggish.

What is there to do in Texas? I like to hike. Are there nice hiking trails?

Love Bugs in FL are terrible with big yellow acid filled guts splater all over cars, trucks and RV's.
