Basically, it's each individual's money and each individual's choice. If you elect to come to Texas, we'll welcome you as winter Texans and treat you to the hospitality for which Texans are famous. On the other hand, if you go to Florida, I'm sure you'll enjoy your winter there as well. Whichever way you go, it beats shoveling snow up north (I know - I lived in central Ohio for 22 years!!)

Pleased to help you out, Cliff.
Lived in GA for 4 years. Did FL way more than enough, and I dont do beach, golf, or fishing anymore. Did 7 Disney visits, and all such things. And Arther-Itis says no high humidity anymore.
So, now to new adventures! Will look for dry air in TX.

Oh sure. Take in our beaches , fishing and golf , seven trips to Disney and leave. That's like a dinner guest who gets up and leaves right after he finishes. See if we care . By the way ,PLEASE , don't tell any of your new neighbors about our World class beaches , World record bill fish and Championship Golf Courses and that little unknown amusement park in Orlando ( especially if they have kids ).

My experience with the fine hospitality of FL was in the early 70s, Cliff. It was grand times when my tikes were tikes. For me, the fishing was best at Rodman Pool. And seeing all of the forts was super. No regrets, just Arther to deal with. :-)
To others I am a fine ambassador of FL and the sights and activities. I promise to refer less than 100K of them. ;-)

First you have to take possession of your oil well, horse and hat. We all have them you know. After that, it's wide open, from piney woods, to desert cactus, to surf fishing, lakes and even some hill and high country. We don't have casinos but in some stretches of highway you can gamble on whether or not to fill up at 1/2 tank or risk running outta fuel. Come on down. The coast is good for both winter and summer as it does get hot in the summer and the further north you go the colder it gets in winter.

Sounds like good hiking, how about water to kayak on? Also sounds like Texas is better than AZ. This is the time of year you can move up to the Austin area - correct.
Saw it is 98 degrees in Yuma today.
