Thanksgiving at Lake Camanche, CA

Wow! This year my wife and I rv'd over the Thanksgiving holiday. Typically, we do the big "family" celebration with 20 to 30 people. Way too many " hungry eaters" for me. We go a spot right between the trout pond and the lake. The weather was 65 to 79 degrees every day. The Monument RV park, our rv area, which had approximately 200 full hooks up sites, was over half full. There were some groups, but a lot of individual campers. This was not only one of the best Thanksgivings, but also one of the best rv trips. I would encourage everyone to "get out of the box" and do something different. You'll be surprised on what you don't miss and what you really want to do. It's not too late; Christmas and New Years are on the way.

My wife and I and the kids have stayed there for many Thanksgiving trips and love it there. We also go there quite abit over the winter months and stay on the pond and fish with friends and have a great time
