The Masters

As I sit here watching The Masters on TV I wonder if anyone has some suggestions for an RV park in the Augusta, GA. area? Obviously can't make it this year. Never too early to plan for next year. Go Phil!

Magnolia Springs State Park | Georgia State Parks

Short drive into town. Beautiful park... azaleas, lakefront, and deer, it was like camping at the course.

You do know that is considered the hardest ticket (badge) in sports ? Good Luck... off my bucket list, but would return if possible.

Thanks for the tip on the park and the ticket. I live about 15 miles from Torrey Pines and have no trouble getting into PGA events there (Locals do have difficulty getting tee times &#128553. Never gave a thought to the difficulties in making it into The Masters. I will give it a go...until I succeed. Then like you, I will be able to have it drop off of my bucket list. Thanks.

Magnolia Springs

Are you aware that Magnolia Springs state park is at least 35 miles south of Augusta (near Millen)? Not exactly convenient to the masters and is out in the boondocks!!!

Usually tickets are passed on thru families (someone has to die) . It is possible to get tickets to practice rounds. Mistletoe SP is relatively close.

Thanks Doc. Wow..I had no idea that it was this hard to get tickets to the Masters. Tickets to the U.S. Open, when held at Torrey Pines was no problem at all. Maybe watching it on TV is all that will be available for those that are not connected. Thanks for the info.

Tickets may NOT be "passed down" or inheired. The Masters has a very accurate way to track the owners of the Patron Pass tickets. When the owner dies, they want the tickets back. While I enjoyed many years of attending all four days I have bitter feelings at how Augusta National handled the situation. They want all the 4 day Patron tickets back so the can resell them to corporations for more money.
The day is so coming when this will be an elite event when the average guy cannot secure or keep a ticket. The lottery for tickets is only a sham to make it seems they will welcome all.

How did they handle it that caused the bitterness? It's been their policy for as long as I remember that tickets are not passed on.
