It's amazing how many of those sites we've visited during our 16 years of full-timing. You will also notice that none are along the interstates. Travel the secondary roads and you'll see more of this wonderful country of ours.

Great post. Some of those places we have been able to cross-off. Many more of those great experiences are still on our Bucket List. Thanks! \ken

Cool. But they didn't put much research into Nebraska's choice. I thought for sure Nebraska's site would be either Pioneer Village in Minden or Carhenge near Alliance, not a fancy museum in Omaha. Like twogypsies, get off the interstate highways!

I guess that's someone's idea while looking at a 'puter screen of what they think are underrated attractions in a particular state, but it sure didn't have any real thought put into it. NY - 'Tenement Museum'?? Wow!!! I've lived in Upstate NY and could with little thought come up with at least a half dozen much more interesting attractions that are seldom visited. Even Utah, Vermont, SD and others have better attractions, low visitations then what this site provided.

But with that zinger, thanks for some reminders of a few things we have missed
