As the new guy, I'm not sure if anyone has posted this site info before or not, so here it is. We are not yet retired, so we plan and plot destinations continuously. Stumbling upon this site was a boon to us. It started by looking for plug-ins, or whatever for Google maps to show counties. We wanted to go to northern Georgia and found a web site full of waterfalls, but listed by counties, and having limited time, only wanted the counties in near proximity to our destination. Long story short, check out this site, the map tab shows counties when the box is checked and the "Features" tab holds a wealth of info. It list sights such as waterfalls, springs. streams and much much more. The web site is chuck full of info, and the more you probe it the more you find. AND it is for every state! Hope you find it as useful as we have. Oh yeah here's the link:
