Thinking about Louisana or Mississippi in spring

My wife would like to go south this spring and I would like to know some of the places people have gone.....

From Belvidere, Il. OK. The Natchez trace, from Nasville, to Natchez is a must do. Then south to the coast. Visit plantations outside of New Orleans. Head over to Pensecola, and Santa Rosa island, to stay at fort pickins. Visit the battleship Alabama in Mobile. Enjoy the coastal foods.[ cajon/creale..sp?.].. You could return up the Mississippi, The great river road has a lot to offer. Stop in Memphis for ribs, In Sykeston, Mo. for the "throwed rolls", at Lamberts, visit the Arch,, Mark Twain's home in Hannibal, then head home.
Sounds like a great time to be had. Just take your time and enjoy the trip. Don't make it a "chore".

You could also visit Breaux Bridge La. for a good time at the Crawfish Festival think its late april are early may.You could do a google search to get the dates.

Theres a nice Rv Resort called Cajun Palms in Henderson not far from Breaux Bridge. They have some very good cajun restaurants in this area.

Y'all could also do a swamp tour also its a beautiful swamp full of cypress trees.

Natchez Trace, visit Natchez, Campground River View just across the Mississippi River with a great view. You can watch the boats pass from inside your RV.
Cajun Palms about 25 miles west of Baton Rouge just off I-10, very nice campground, best in the area, you can walk out the back of the campground to a very good Seafood Rest..

Agree, Cajun Palms is great! Be sure to go when it's warm enough to enjoy the pool area. (I think it opens up around Easter weekend)

X2 on Cajun Palms, they will even bring that great food to your site, and have a little market so you can take some frozen food with you for later.

If you don't like crowds, stay away on weekends!!.
