We got a free weekend at Thousand Trails, Lotus, California...their newest addition. They still have a lot of work to do on the CG, but it's really quite nice. We had a site next to the American River and watched the rafters.

This might be a good consideration for full-timers. They have three different plans depending on what you want. We figured that we would spend nearly as much in 1½ years as the total cost of the low end. They also belong to a larger group of resort CGs and the cost is only $8 at those. The only drawback is that you can only stay up to 14 days and then you have to leave for 7 days.

All in all, seemed like a good deal. Anyone have any experience or opinions?
