I really tend to disagree with you. Do you realize that a 50amp MH only uses about 23 amps with AC's, TV and a few lights on? No where near 50Amp. I think some future math has to be done on killowatt hours and cost per KW before information can be provided on use.
I had seriously considered getting a TT membership, but the initial cost was a set back and also how much I would use it since I already live in a "winter friendly" environment.
However, one must consider what has been stated. A lot of money has been paid into the TT system by users that were promised "goods" for "life." All of a sudden the "present owners" of the system decide to sell at a profit to another corporation. Yes, somewhere in the small print may be information that things can change, and yest they did change.
So when you purchase something answer me this. Do you have an expectation that certain items that were stated to you prior to the purchase would be honored? And if it wasn't, what would be your reaction/action?
I'd be mad as heck!

FWIW, several friends of mine, along with myself, had TT memberships in the 80s and they were good. After they sold , we ALL stopped the dues and got many bad phone calls threatening us. Year after year, nothing but harassing phone calls. Never we got any collections etc. Finally TT gave up on all of us.

The DW and I purchased a 3 year membership to TT, then after 18 months as members we got offered a 3 lifetime membership, apparently it was a "mistake" that we got invited, but since we were already there, they were going to "allow us" to buy in. Of course we were promised everything that only "members" get. Long story short, all the TT cgs that we've been too are open to the public, dilapidated, and the best sites are taken up by long term leasers. Anyway, I sent several emails expressing my discontent and was stonewalled, they claimed that it was never a "members only" cg system, and that the new owners were allowed to change the rules because it was stated in the contract. Well, I too simply placed a stop payment on the monthly yearly dues, AND on the membership itself. After several nasty threatening calls from "Betty", I basically told her that I was not going to pay for a service that I was bamboozled into purchasing and not receiving. Attached is my email address, perhaps if enough of us band together, we might be able to do something against them.

Master Gunny:
It sorta sounds like the "free medical for us and our families for life" if we joined and retired from the military doesn't it? Now we pay some and it is about to go way up. Oh well, eh?

TT has a spot beside Skagit Casino in WA. It's a dump, they couldn't pay me to stay there. I prefer the KOA down the road.

DW and I just spent Labor Day weekend at TT in Idyllwild and had a fantastic stay. This preserve is well kept, friendly staff, and many preserve sponsored activities. This one is great, would highly recommend it.
