Thousand Trails News??

My wife and I recently received a call about a week ago from Thousand Trails where we've had a campground membership for about ten years now. It seems there's something going on but they are VERY careful not to say anything to give it away. It seems somewhat sinister. So I thought I'd put it out there to my fellow RVers and ask if anyone knows what's going on? It would be nice to have some heads-up before the call in a few days.

I would VERY much appreciate anything anyone can share.

Thank you,
Rick

They probably want to sell you an upgrade. I think there trying to improve things and do some much needed upgrading. Thousand Trails is spending some major money inproving some of there resorts. Lake Conroe is doing about 5 million dollars worth of improvements. And Hershey is also doing alot of upgrades also. These are just two I saw in the past year, I'm sure there fixing other ones up.......Bruce

My Mom & I are K & M members, same thing happened with us. An official letter hinting at changes, and wanting to set an appointment to discuss. Yada Yada Yada, basically, trying to upsell since they are now "partnering" with the company that owns RPI. (in our case, kind of trying to upsell what we already had and didn't use) I forgot to pin him down as to if this meant that camping spots are going to be gobbled up by "condo" "cabin" development.

We went to ONE presentation. When the sales persons stated "if you don't buy now with us you will never find a place to park your RV" we left.

We successfully full-timed for 16 years after that statement.
