Can not say as I have ever stopped in T.C. but you are not far from the Big Mac bridge and the island near it and the historic Fort, and Michigan's Dunes, and ...

Well you are not far from a lot of stuff... The world's larges wooden Crucifix and the shrine to one of the Saints of the Catholic church is nearby.. There are only FOUR American saints (Per my Daughter, who's confirmaiton saint happens to be that one) and this is the Shrine to one of them. (It is next door (Shares a line fence) with Big Lake State park in Indian River just off I-75)

But as I said.. I truly do not know the Traverse City area itself that well.
