Tishomingo state park in MS

Any thoughts? There will be six little kiddos in this trip between the two families! Good family campground?

It's a very nice older park. Most of the sites are back ins located around the perimeter of a lake. The pads are a little on the small side but plenty of room between sites. There are also kayak and canoe rentals on Bear Creek which runs through the park. There's not a lot there to do outside of the park., the closest town of any size would be Tupelo Ms or Florence Al, both of which are30-45 minutes away. It also adjoins The Natchez Trace Parkway which has several historical site to see both north and south of the park.

Piney Grove Campground is close by and a lot nicer.
Piney Grove is a COE campground. It is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Water. You can looked it up and get lots of information. Think you will like it.
